[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Although the Red CentreNATS is primarily a four wheeled automotive celebration, for the second annual festival of wheels taking place on September 2 – 4 in Alice Springs, Harley-Davidson Australia and the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G. ®) will be adding a new and exciting two wheeled dimension to the event.
Red CentreNATS is establishing itself as one of Australia’s premier automotive events, featuring over 500 elite show cars, street machines, hot rods and exotic vehicles set amongst the beautiful backdrop of the red centre. The presence of Harley-Davidson Australia, H.O.G.s and the huge H-D1 custom Harley-Davidson truck joining the festivities is a glowing endorsement of Red CentreNATS and symbolises the common unity between lovers of all mechanical machines, be that cars or motorbikes.
The open road is part of the allure for Harley-Davidson owners, so it goes without saying that H.O.G.s will be riding from as far away as Darwin and Mount Isa in QLD to take part in Red CentreNATS.
For the local Alice Springs H.O.G. Chapter and Harley-Davidson dealer Desert Edge Motorcycles, hosting Harley-Davidson Australia, H-D1 and the other H.O.G. Chapters in Alice at Red CentreNATS is a special moment and something the local H.O.G. Chapter has been working hard on behind the scenes.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the H.O.G. family in Alice Springs for Red CentreNATS. We will be putting on a great show for the crowds and enjoying ourselves at the ultimate festival of wheels,” said the Alice Springs H.O.G Chapter Director, Craig Cassidy.
Harley-Davidson’s involvement officially kick offs off on Friday, with the H.O.G.s and their glistening bikes given the privilege of leading a procession of more than 400 vehicles through the centre of the city, as part of Australia’s largest automotive street parade. A favourite activity for entrants and the thousands of locals lining the streets alike, the Street Parade is an incredible spectacle and for the H.O.G.s, a proud occasion.
“It will be an honour for the H.O.G.s to lead the Red CentreNATS Street Parade on Friday afternoon and we can’t wait to be part of it,” said Tony Moloney, Director of the Mount Isa H.O.G. Chapter.
Making a statement as large as the H.O.G.s during the Street Parade will be Harley Davidson’s incredible ‘H-D1’ Freightliner truck, road tripping from Sydney to showcase Harley-Davidson at the ‘NATS. A striking vehicle, H-D1 is Harley-Davidson Australia’s official mobile Harley-Davidson customisation showroom.
Fans will have the opportunity to enter the mobile showroom and marvel at the glistening Harley-Davidson machinery at Blatherskite Park as part of the iconic brands weekend display.
After the Street Parade on Friday, the H.O.G.s will join thousands of other attendees as The Angels headline the Rock N Rumble concert on Friday night. There are still a limited number of VIP tickets available for those who want the red carpet treatment to enjoy the huge party.
Throughout the weekend, a massive program of events and entertainment is on offer to rev up the crowds. With over 550 entrants already confirmed, smashing last year’s total by more than 20%, Red CentreNATS is going to be an event to remember this coming Father’s Day weekend.
